Lomba Debat Dalam Bahasa Inggris

Sebagai agenda rutin bidang kesiswaan, Bidang Pendidikan Menengah, Dinas Dikpora Kabupaten Lombok Timur akan menyelenggarakan lomba debat dalam Bahasa Inggris bagi siswa SMA se Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Sistem yang dipakai adalah Australian Parliamentary System (silahkan buka panduan debat tahun 2012).

Peserta Lomba adalah siswa kelas X dan kelas XI yang mewakili SMA yang ada di Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Setiap sekolah boleh mengirimkan maksimal 2 regu debat yang beranggotakan 3 orang debaters untuk masing-masing regu. Komposisi regu ditentukan oleh sekolah masing-masing.

Tujuan lomba adalah untuk mendapatkan regu debat terbaik serta the best speakers tingkat Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Tiga regu terbaik akan mendapatkan hadiah berupa uang pembinaan dan sertifikat, sedangkan kepada 3 best speakers akan didaftarkan sebagai peserta lomba debat dalam Bahasa Inggris untuk siswa sekolah menengah tingkat Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Waktu pelaksanaan Lomba tingkat Kabupaten Lombok Timur sekitar pekan ke 2 atau ke 3 Maret 2013. Please keep in touch.

Issue yang akan dijadikan tema debat adalah sebagai berikut (kecuali untuk babak semi final dan grand final round akan bersifat promptu) :

1. This house should punish Angelina Sondah more than she was sentenced 
2. This house should ban our government from giving the Sweden governmet concession to manage the Southern Coat of East Lombok.
3. This house believe that school levelling does not influence the quality of its outputs. 
4. That planting tobacco promotes youth to smoke 
5. That  Sasak culture should be promoted along with the beauty of its nature  to boost  tourism development in Lombok 
6. That we would give tax holiday for large-scale industries 
7.  That this house regrets the cutting of the subsidy for agriculture
8. That this house would increase the tax 
9.  That we should stop privatizing the state companies 
10.  That small economic business scales should get easier bank loan procedures from both government and private banks. 
11.  That central government should tightly control the finance of the local governments. 
12.  That the economic measurement to judge the economic growths of the country is the only way to know the country’s prosperity. 
13.  This house believes that the government is not pro the poor 
14. That we would make military service compulsory for citizen 
15.  That top government executives should not have executive position in any political parties 
16. This house would give self-rule to GAM 
17. That politicians should only be allowed to serve in office for a limited period of time 
18. That government should not restrict freedom of speech 
19.  That national security concerns justify the restriction of civil liberties 
20.  This house supports General Election in Iraq 
21.  That feminism has gone too far 
22.  That the press violates public figures privacy 
23. That we should give no room for polygamy 
24.  That Malaysia should be a model in dealing with gambling
